Our BSc Mathematics with Industrial Year will build on your passion for mathematics and challenge you across a broad range of subject areas. This programme will help you learn to apply analytical, statistical and computational skills to formulate and tackle problems. We will support you to think logically, independently and imaginatively, equipping you to make the most of the opportunities ahead. In your third year you will go on your industrial placement, developing your mathematical as well as your computer skills. Then in your fourth year, you will return to the University and have a broad range of modules to choose from.
A Level: AAA | AAA including Mathematics or AAB with an A in Mathematics and grade 2 in any STEP paper. A level Mathematics or Further Mathematics required. General Studies not accepted, but a grade A may be considered if you fail to meet your offer. | International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme: 32 UCAS points | 6,6,6 at Higher Level, including Mathematics, with a minimum of 32 points overall. | Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) | BTEC only considered when combined with other qualifications. | Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (first teaching September 2015) | Accepted in place of a non-required A level with the equivalent grade. | Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal | Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)

The University will charge the maximum approved tuition fee per year. For the 2027 year of entry, we expect that the tuition fee for your first year of study will be £10,050. If Parliament agrees on an increase in tuition fees, the University will increase fees for each year of study normally in line with these changes and will communicate any change in the fees to you without delay.
