Explore the laws of the entire universe and the use of data science on our BSc Physics with Data Science. Be at the forefront of opportunities in research, IT, business and finance. From quantum interactions of sub-atomic particles to the vast celestial bodies in our night sky, you'll study core physics in a friendly and supportive environment. Learn how to extract knowledge from data and graduate ready for a range of careers. Understand the laws that make up the natural world, discover how to use machine learning and AI as a physicist. You could be analysing data collected by the particle accelerators at CERN or applying artificial intelligence to detect exoplanets from telescope data. Our academics are global experts in their fields and will help you step up to university-level physics. Choose from topics such as quantum mechanics and the life and death of stars. You’ll benefit from using state-of-the-art study spaces, computing suites and laboratories. Our research spaces include our own particle accelerators, the MC40 cyclotron for charged particles and HF-ADNeF, the most intense accelerator driven neutron source worldwide, as well as labs used for the construction of the detectors and electronics in experiments at the Large Hadron Collider, CERN. As a Birmingham Physics graduate with data science skills, you'll have an exciting future ahead of you.
