With real workplace experience and expertise, you’ll begin your journey to becoming a Chartered Engineer. Prepare for roles such as designing, manufacturing, installing and testing anything from nanoscale robots to spacecraft. From mechanics and computing to sustainable energy, you’ll learn the essentials then specialise before enjoying a year on placement. You’ll be able to attend lectures on industrial design projects from companies such as Rolls-Royce and Jaguar Land Rover. Benefit from learning in our state-of-the-art building with Design Centres and the Makerspace where you’ll apply your new skills in a practical training facility. You can even join student activity teams to design, build and race cars in global competitions. You’ll work alongside students in other engineering disciplines, so you graduate with interdisciplinary experience.

The University will charge the maximum approved tuition fee per year. For the 2027 year of entry, we expect that the tuition fee for your first year of study will be £10,050.
