This 4-year MSci Biomedical Science course explores the science of the human body and the causes and treatments of diseases that affect us. Our broad programme is taught by subject experts, who carry out fundamental scientific and medical research, and covers single cells and molecular processes up to whole body systems. As a student of Biomedical Science at Birmingham, you will have the opportunity to undertake an industrial placement year where we will support you to find your ideal placement either in industry or in the biomedical sector, or help you to access financial support to take on summer projects in our own active research laboratories. Core skills developed throughout our integrated curriculum such as communication, organisation, problem solving and analysis are highly valued by graduate employers whichever career path you choose to follow.
